It is a "pure" PowerPoint deck created in PowerPoint 2016 for use by a trainer in a live classroom training situation. It teaches specific methods and techniques required by Bimbo sales personnel to operate the tablet in the absence of a keyboard. This will automatically download, or you must download it, to view

  • Quick Styles (MS Word) Demo—This was created in Captivate in 2007 (the last time I had access to a personal copy of that application) to demonstrate an e-learning module, including a short quiz at the end. It could be much improved, but that will have to wait
  • CMT Help—I created this TWiki (wiki) site for my most recent employer, before they decided to move the documentation effort to a Canadian office. It is still (and may forever be) "under construction," 2016

What's the Difference?

These two terms—Information Architecture and Content Strategy—are often confused with each other, as they overlap in many ways. They are, in my experience, quite different things, but are best viewed as part of a single, organic, whole.

Information Architecture is the structure that is created to hold the information you want to be seen by whoever; the menus, pages and their layout, navigation, etc.

Content Strategy is the actual information you intend to deliver.

The melding of these two comprises the User Experience (UX) that an individual perceives when visiting a website or undertaking a learning task. I think this must be both educational and engaging, and in all the work I have ever done I have tried to accomplish the goal of making the UX the best I can. UX is a very hot topic nowadays, and you can get a certification in it, but I have escaped that, so far.

I think a very good article on this subject can be found here, and I encourage you to read it, if you have the inclination.

A website such as this one, is like a life: it needs constant improvement and change, or else it is a dead thing.
